A payments app for events. Built with organisers.

We're building this. We don't have all the answers yet. We're looking for festivals, event series, pop-ups, and cultural gatherings to help us figure out how it should work.

A daytime community market with green and orange bunting strung between trees, white food-stall tents, and visitors mingling. The kind of community-led pop-up this page is for.
Why we want to start with events

A temporary community with real value flow.

Events are the clearest test case for community payments. A bounded place, a real moment, real money already flowing.
  1. 01
    People gather in one place

A bounded community for a few hours or a few days. A clear environment to design for.

  2. 02
    Transactions in a bounded environment

Spending is already happening at scale, in one space, in one moment.

  3. 03
    Identity and participation are visible

Who's here, what they're doing, why they came back. All legible.

  4. 04
    Repeat behavior can be rewarded

    Returning attendees aren't a guess; they're traceable.

What we want to explore

Spending, perks, and loyalty as one community layer.

We don't know exactly what this should look like yet. Some directions we're curious about, and want to figure out with our first event partners:

  • An event currency

Members earn it during the event, use it again at the next one, turning attendance into ongoing standing.

  • Two-way spending flows

Money loops between organisers, vendors, and attendees, not just one way to the bar.

  • Returning-member perks

Early access, discounts, and recognition for the people who keep showing up.

  • Loyalty after the event

Connection that survives between editions, not just the weekend itself.

  • Open payment rails

Simpler than closed-loop wristbands, no vendor lock-in, no top-up queues.

The opportunity

A payments app can also be a retention tool.

Most event payment systems are operational tools.

We're interested in whether a payments app can also become a retention and community tool, helping organizers build longer-term relationships beyond the event itself.

The model we're testing

What was the banking margin becomes the community margin.

We're testing models where payment activity can generate upside for the community around the event, connecting spending, access, rewards, and future participation.

We don't know yet exactly what that should look like. That's what we want to figure out with you.

Who we want to build with

Organisers turning one-off attendance into ongoing engagement.

We're looking for:

  • Recurring or returning audiences
  • A clear event identity
  • Real value exchange on-site
  • An interest in turning attendance into ongoing engagement

Examples:

  • Festivals
  • Event series
  • Cultural programs
  • Pop-ups
  • Community-led gatherings
